I am part of the pepper color palette, I am the pink force. In reality, I am not really a peppercorn, contrary to what my name might suggest. I am actually a member of the cashew family and my seeds are the dried berries of the Schinus molle shrub, commonly known as the Peruvian pepper tree. My flavor is sweet, herbaceous, fruity and floral with a pine and citrus aroma. I’m perfect for garnish. My berries are sweet and slightly tangy, making them a great addition to buttery sauces, salads, seafood, dressings, poultry dishes and even desserts!
